Social Mornings/Afternoons (Monday– Friday)
The Star Centre social groups take place 5 days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday ( User-Led ) Thursday & Friday.
The social groups provide an opportunity to relax, chat and catch up with friends and staff. New service users may feel nervous when they first attend these groups, but a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere will help to overcome this. Many of those who attend the social groups find that their social skills and confidence improve as they interact with the diverse cultures and backgrounds of fellow service users.
As well as simply relaxing and chatting, service users can play cards, chess, etc., listen to music and read the newspapers. For some people, this is possibly the only interaction they will have with others due to their personal circumstances. For others, it is simply a great way to relax, have fun and make new friends!
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays there are hot meals, prepared by our fantastic chef, available at very reasonable prices! Light snacks (rolls, crisps, fruit, etc) are available at other times.
If you would like to use the drop in service... Please ring the office on 020 8572 4211 and we will arrange an assessment.

Star Century / History Group 11-12.30 Whilst investigating a plumbing problem a couple of years ago, we had to go into the loft of our building to access some pipe work. To our amazement we discovered lots of paperwork that went back to 1913 and gave us an insight as to what the original building was used for. Since that discovery a Group was formed to research the building and up to this day that research continues with a dedicated team of sleuths who are finding more and more details about all of the events and history that surrounded the heart of Hounslow.A fascinating group that you can be part of.
